We Are the Fury

We Are the Fury is an American rock band.
==Musical career==
The group was founded as The Fury in Toledo, Ohio in 2004. Prior to forming the band, all original members played in local Toledo, OH bands during junior high and highschool. The band met in the local music scene and played in a variety of other small area acts before starting The Fury, a name they chose inspired by one of their first songs "Pretty Boy Fury." The band released a self-titled EP in 2005. In the summer of 2005, they signed to One Big Spark Records (a Warner Bros. Records subsidiary) and had to change their name to We Are the Fury for legal reasons.〔(We Are the Fury ) at Allmusic.com〕 The band re-released their EP as Infinite Jest through the label in 2006, and released their debut full length album, titled Venus, May 22, 2007. They were named an "Artist to Watch" by Rolling Stone in 2007.〔(Artist to Watch:We Are the Fury ). Rolling Stone, April 10, 2007. Accessed September 29, 2007.〕
In June 2008, the band was released from their recording contract with OneBigSpark due to the label going under.
Chris Hatfield and Jeremy Lublin went on to start a band called New Romans with Craig Bonich of Head Automatica and formerly Jaguar Love, Rick Penzone of Men Women and Children, and Jon Safley formerly of Lemon Sun. The band was also featured at SXSW in 2006 and 2007, CMJ in 2005, 2006, and 2007, Bamboozle in 2007, as well as numerous college festivals, parties and showcases. Chris is currently a Graphic Designer and Jeremy is currently the lead singer of New York based glam rock band Jeremy & The Harlequins. Songs written for the first album by Romans have appeared on Under The Dome, and other television shows, and a reworked version of Roman material "Trip Into The Light" was featured in the Tom Cruise film Edge of Tomorrow under the Harlequins moniker. A Song by the Harlequins was also licensed for a cruise ship advertising campaign.
